WSG volunteers
Welcome to the volunteers' page. As a small educational charity we are as reliant on unpaid volunteers as we are on our committed and hard working staff. Funding is of course at the heart of much of what we do and while the Trustees are responsible for setting overall financial strategy there is always a need to raise money for one reason or another. This is taken on by the fundraising group. The money raised is used to repair and maintain the expensive equipment needed to deliver top quality gymnastics, decorate the facility or ensure the coffee shop seating area is a pleasant place to relax while your child trains. We also thank those who give up their time to staff the coffee shop throughout the week and are always in need of additional volunteers to take on this job.
With an eye on 2012 and on attaining Gym Mark status, we have 4, Trustee sponsored, action groups. These groups are taking forward more challenging and long-term projects relating to sponsorship, facilities' improvements, grant funding and communications. The groups' activities include seeking out grant and sponsorship funding to enable us to take forward our vision of increasing the floor space available for gymnastics and improving our IT infrastructure.
If you are interested in joining the fundraising group, have ideas about how we can raise additional funds for the benefit of all of the young gymnasts who train so hard or have expertise/time you could offer to one of the action groups then please contact any member of staff or those listed below. We would be pleased to discuss your ideas with you and to welcome you onto one of the groups.
