WSG club membership

Although gymnastics classes are available to anyone wishing to enrol, we would encourage those planning a longer-term association with the club to become a member. This helps build that all important club ethos and helps us to better plan our finances. Furthermore it also opens a potential source of Government funding via the Gift Aid scheme.

The annual membership subscription is £20 per family so it does not matter how many gymnastic children you have. Subscriptions are payable annually in January.

As WSG is a registered charity this subscription can be made under the Government's Gift Aid rules and we would encourage all members to Gift Aid their membership to the club as long as the payer will pay taxes of at least as much as we can reclaim on their subscription - about £5 per year. If you do are in doubt please ask at reception or contact your tax office for more information.

The benefits of Gift Aid are that the club can reclaim the tax that you have paid through your wages/salary which is given to the club. This is just under £5 for each member.

If you pay higher-rate income tax at 40% then you can receive just under £2 refund through your self-assessment in relation to the amount you have Gift Aided to the club.
